In home phlebotomy & lab sample collection
Lab sample collection for your pet, done in your own home. Finally!
Do you have a dog or cat with a chronic medical condition that needs bloodwork every 3-6 months?
Is you dog or cat on a long term medication such as Rimadyl, Phenobarbital, Fluoxetine, Levothyroxine or Insulin?
Are you curious about your dog’s DNA?
Does your pet deal with unknown allergies?
Is you dog or cat having GI Issues?
The above questions are just examples of common reasons to preform bloodwork, urine or fecal testing for your pet. We can do all of these collections from the comfort of your home, where your pet will likely be less stressed and you can be present.
Veterinarians advise that dogs and cats over the age of 6 years should have yearly bloodwork preformed, to obtain a snapshot in time of your pet’s kidney, liver and blood cell counts. Having this detailed information gives us a well rounded history of the internal organs and how your pet’s body chemistry is functioning. Yearly bloodwork can also show us early warning signs of medical conditions such as kidney disease, diabetes and cancer and provide information for the ability of your pet to be safely anesthetized for a procedure such as a dental or mass removal.
How it works
You select which ever test is applicable to your pet. You referring veterinarian can also select for you if you do not know.
Fill out the appropriate forms and provide times/dates that work best for you to obtain the sample.
We will connect with your veterinarian to confirm that the appropriate test has been selected for your pet.
After confirmation of tests, you will be given a 3 hour window on the day selected by you, for our technicians to come and preform the necessary sampling.
Samples will be shipped out to our lab and results will be provided in 48 hours to you.
Lastly, you can send the results to your referring veterinarian to go over them with you and consult on what the findings indicate.
*We also provide white label services to any veterinarian that needs a house call sampling preformed but wants to run the samples to through their own lab or in hospital.*
